Delbe Meelhuysen, M.D., Co-founder

Dr. Delbe Meelhuysen was a co-founder of Sharper Mind Centers, Inc.  Sharper Minds specializes in the evaluation and treatment of cognitive disorders including dyslexia, ADD & ADHD and mild head trauma.  Dr. Meelhuysen currently practices medicine in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and is listed under America's Best Physicians in the fields of Internal Medicine and Learning Disabilities. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Urgent Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine and has been licensed in the states of Oregon, Washington, California, and Texas. Understanding cognitive disorders and how to overcome them are personal passions for Dr. Meelhuysen, and she worked in the field of ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities from 1997 through 2007.

Dr. Meelhuysen has done presentations for the 2007 Eric Jensen Brain Expo, the 2007 Learning Disability Association of America conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the 2006 Advanced Brain Technology Annual Conference and others. Dr. Meelhuysen has personally administered over 350 cognitive skills evaluations, and overseen or reviewed the administration by other therapists / trainers of another 900 evaluations.

Participants will learn how food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances affect learning and behavior and about disabilities that mimic ADD symptoms, and effective drug-free treatment options for adults and children with learning disabilities and/or ADD.
